Self Care Sundays – Winter at ValadeDon’t let the winter blues set in. Every Sunday until Feb. 23, get moving and going with the community focused wellness and mindfulness classes on the riverfront. There is the Polar Power Walk offers an upbeat, cardio driven group walk along the Riverfront with stops for stretching and group movement. The Self Care Sunday Stroll is a slower, more meditative experience focused on the senses and checking in with your mental health. Both classes are fully outdoors, open to all ages.

Detroit Lions vs. Washington CommandersOur Detroit Lions are going to the playoffs!! Their divisional game against the Washington Commanders will be at Ford Field this Saturday at 8pm!! I am so proud of our home team, and although tickets are pretty pricey, you can watch all the action on Fox2.

Fireside Fridays – Winter at ValadeThis winter, the fun doesn’t stop at Valade Park on the Riverfront. Every Friday until Feb. 21, enjoy family friendly-fun featuring karaoke with Detroit’s own Karaoke Kingz, classic and new board games, and food and drink specials from Smokey G’s Smokehouse and the Valade Shed Bar. Come back weekly for unique karaoke themes! While karaoke and games will take place inside the heated building at Valade, be sure to explore the park for curling, sledding, and fire pits for roasting s’mores!
