Years ago, I watched and read the interviews/story Chris Hansen did on the city of Detroit and was very disturbed by all of the random and weird things he focused on. This is a city I grew up in, love, and want to see soar like it once did. With my love for the vintage and days of Detroit old, I strive to show people that the media’s perception of my home is not necessarily the whole truth.
We all are the real stories, the real product of this unique and resilient city. I love those gems that we see everyday thriving, dying, and even those who are gone. I am an explorer of my hometown, and love to get lost in in the city; you learn a lot that way. I hope sharing the real Detroit with you will intrigue you enough to explore and discover the city beyond the news stories and perceptions.
